We can't wait to welcome you! New & Transfer Student Orientation takes place on Wednesday, August 20-Sunday, August 24, 2025.
On this page, you’ll find a detailed list of items and tasks to complete before you arrive, as well as helpful links and resources for during and after Move-In and Orientation.
Before You Arrive
Complete the following tasks before you arrive to ensure that your orientation experience is as smooth as possible.
Register for Orientation
Registration is required. More information coming soon.
You will log in using the email and password used to access your Chatham application portal.

Submit Your Health Records & Review Student Health Checklist
Health Insurance
All full-time Chatham students are required to have health insurance coverage. The University-sponsored plan is designed to meet basic health care needs at an affordable cost. Students who wish to enroll in the Chatham University Student Health Insurance Plan can find more information online at myChatham.
Any questions should be emailed to the Office of Student Accounts (osa@chatham.edu).
Student Health Records
All Chatham University students are required to submit health-related documentation and clearances based on their college, school, or program of study. The university uses two systems to collect, review, and store this information. Click here to review the health records submission process and vaccination requirements.
Get Your Student ID
Your student ID grants you access to your residence hall, meal plan, and on-campus printing, in addition to a bus pass for Pittsburgh Regional Transit and free admission to museums and more around Pittsburgh! Submit the ID Request Form, and your ID will be ready when you arrive to campus.
Complete Online Education Modules
All incoming students must complete Part I of the AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention online training modules.
You will receive an email with instructions for completing the courses after you submit the University Deposit.
Prepare to Join Our Community
As members of Chatham's community, students must understand the expectations for their behavior and conduct. Consequently, students must adhere to community standards in accordance with the University's mission and expectations.

Review Laptop Requirements
For new undergraduate students, it’s important to have a laptop that meets Chatham’s technology requirements. Students may bring their own device, provided it meets all University or specific program requirements.

Commuter Student Space
The Carriage House is our designated commuter space during orientation—and has amenities for commuters during the term, too. There is a fridge and kitchenette you can utilize during the term if you pack a lunch.

Check Your Chatham Email
Remember to keep checking your Chatham email for important information, including instructions on how to complete part two of the AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention online modules.

You’ll want to browse (and maybe bookmark) these tools and resources. Also consider visiting Chatham’s gear bookstore, in person or online. You can also buy your textbooks online!

Meet Your Academic Advisor
Your Academic Advisor is there to work with you to schedule courses each semester and answer any academic program questions you may have.
Locate your Academic Advisor's name and contact information by logging into myChatham and clicking your name at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
